Collaboration with Industry and the Local Community

Collaboration with Industry and the Local Community

Collaboration is being promoted between the university and industry and the local community by engaging in vigorous industry-government-academia collaboration, interdisciplinary exchanges and other activities with the aim of recruiting the university’s intellectual property (results, technology, information, etc.) back to society.

Industry-Government-Academia Collaboration Group

In order to effectively give life to the results of research originating at the university in industry and society, patent applications and technology transfers are being implemented for inventions created by faculty or students through the Intellectual Property Group. While promoting the establishment of rights and utilization as intellection property, support is also being provided for the commercialization of on-campus seeds and the utilization and launching of venture startups in close cooperation with industry and the government. In addition, the university also holds intellectual property rights seminars with guidance provided by attorneys and others and entrepreneur education is also being conducted by startup entrepreneurs, public certified accountants and others. Furthermore, surveys and analyses are also being conducted relating to trends in advanced technology research, technology marketability and so forth.
