2020 International Faculty Development Webinar & Career Management B (7028)※

How UC Davis has been incorporating SDGs in education and research

 UC Davis (University of California, Davis) is committed to supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on campus, in the community and region, and globally. This presentation will offer an overview of the relevance of the SDG Agenda across colleges and schools at UC Davis, and the strategies that UC Davis is utilizing to raise awareness and encourage involvement in this agenda. The presentation will also share some examples of the SDG Agenda as an important framework for UC Davis partnerships, and various teaching and research efforts on specific SDGs.

【Introduction】
Dr. Jolynn Shoemaker Director of Global Engagements, Global Affairs, UC Davis 【Introduction】 Jolynn Shoemaker is the Director of Global Engagements in Global Affairs at UC Davis. In this role, she focuses on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Global Centers initiative, as well as other strategic international initiatives for the university. As an attorney, she spent almost 20 years in Washington DC working on foreign policy and national security issues. One of her primary focus areas has been on gender equality in international peace and security. She has taught U.S. national security as an adjunct professor at California State University Sacramento. Jolynn holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence and a Master of Arts (Security Studies) from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from University of California, San Diego.
