6. Qualifications

  1. PhD
  2. Having deep knowledge and outstanding achievements in materials science especially to develop bio-process engineering based on microchip fabrication and femtosecond laser technologies, and enthusiasm to teach these science and skills to students.
  3. Enthusiasm to promote interdisciplinary investigations for bio-process engineering, in which new cell and protein manipulations are realized in microchips combined with lasers, microscopes, and electronic devices.
  4. Enthusiasm to promote the education and research of students with Prof. Y. Hosokawa who is a head of the Bio-Process Engineering Laboratory.
  5. Attainment of an academic degree from a foreign university and/or work experience in foreign research institutes (universities) are preferred.
  6. Japanese language skills for discussion, reports, and paperwork relating to education issues.

7. Employment conditions

  1. Workdays: Monday through Friday
  2. Holidays: Saturday, Sunday, national holidays, the end/beginning of the year and the anniversary of the founding of NAIST (October 1st)
  3. Working hours are left to the professor's discretion

8. Remuneration

Calculated in accordance with NAIST salary regulations
