April, 2011: Intellectual Property Achievement Award to NAIST as a whole University
At the Japan Patent Office on Invention Day (April 18, 2011), the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Commissioner of the Japan Patent Office presented intellectual property achievement awards to individuals and companies that have contributed to the expansion and development of the industrial property rights system.
This was the first time the award was given to an university and was in recognition of NAIST’s efforts in the dissemination of Industrial Property Rights, comparable to industrial achievements.
