Researcher Internship Program

This program aims at contributing to the development of Japanese industry by providing research opportunities at the university for in-service engineers, researchers, teachers, et al., of private companies and schools and further enhancing their capabilities.

Policy

Acceptance of internship researchers

We accept those who are able to enter graduate school under the School Education Act or are accredited by the principal as such, if there is no obstacle to the university research and education. The internship period is up to one year.

Internship fee

  • The internship fee is the liability of the consigning party (who consigns internship researchers to the university) and differs according to the category and period of internship.
    Long term (longer than six months and up to one year): 556,800 yen
    Short term (up to six months): 278,400 yen

  • Five percent of the fee we receive is used for administrative purposes.

Handling of research outcomes

  • The outcomes of research (including intellectual property) by internship researchers are handled in accordance with the university’s regulations for employee inventions.

  2. Submission of the application form for researcher internship and internship-researcher statements
  3. Approval by the head of the accepting department (internal procedure)
    Conducted as needed.
  4. Contract conclusion between the university and internship researchers
    This is to have internship researchers make an oath to comply with the university’s regulations for employee inventions.
  5. Issuance of a bill
    Issued on the contract day.
  6. Payment of internship fee
    You are expected to make payment within a prescribed period. Five percent of the fee we receive is used for administrative purposes.
