Macquarie University (Australia) Delegation Visit

On October 10th, 2017, Prof. Isak Pretorisuani (Deputy Vice Chancellor), Dr. Ren Yi (Executive Director, Research Training, International Research Training Partnerships), Mr. David Harrison (Director, Global Engagement & Business Development), and Ms. Yoko Kaitani (Manager, Macquarie International) from Macquarie University visited NAIST. At the courtesy visit, Vice President / Executive Director Kiyomi Kakiuchi and Director Sachi Ando of the Division for Global Education welcomed the delegates and exchanged information on possible activities.

The delegates also visited the Synthetic Organic Chemistry Laboratory, greeted by Assistant Professor Yuki Tanimoto, followed by a visit to the Systems Microbiology Laboratory where Assistant Professor Ai Muto explained their research activities.

NAIST has established an international staff development program with Macquarie University. One of our administrative staff members will visit Macquarie University this year as part of this program. We are expecting to expand our collaboration in research and education.
