Overseas Crisis Management Training for NAIST Japanese Students" was held online (March 10, 2022).

On Thursday, March 10, "Overseas Crisis Management Training for NAIST Japanese Students" was held online with Mr. Shunsuke Sekine, a study abroad and education advisor from Berkeley House Co., Ltd. as the lecturer, with the aim of helping Japanese students who are planning or considering studying or traveling abroad in the coming year to recognize overseas crisis management as their personal matter and learn how to minimize problems they may face while abroad.

The training began with self-introductions by the participants, followed by an ice-breaking group discussion in which participants exchanged opinions on the definition of crisis management.
Then, sharing his experiences and advice, Lecturer Sekine gave a lecture on the types of crises that students may face before going abroad, during their stay, before returning home, and during their school life abroad, as well as countermeasures against such crises. During the lecture, time was set aside for group discussions to exchange opinions on the topics given and share them with the entire group. Although the training was conducted online, it was interactive, with Lecturer Sekine posing questions and participants answering them.

The 20 students participated in this training program. Participants commented that they were able to recognize crisis management in a foreign country as their own matter, that it would be useful when they study abroad or travel abroad, and that they were able to deepen their understanding of crisis management by exchanging opinions with other participants in the group discussion. In the future, DGE plans to hold other overseas crisis management seminars for international students and faculty members in sequence.
