NAIST participated in the "Experience Japan Exhibition (EJE) 2022" online (2022/11/19)

On Saturday, November 19th, NAIST participated in the Japan study abroad fair "Experience Japan Exhibition (EJE) 2022". This is the largest study abroad fair for Japan held in London, England, and was held online for the 3rd year in a row. More than 20 universities and organizations nationwide, mainly universities chosen for the Top Global University Project, provided various program and scholarship information for students who were interested in studying in Japan. While set in the UK, students interested in Japan from all over the world were able to participate. Our international partner institutions' faculty and students also attend this event so it is an opportunity to meet with potential students as well as partner institution students who are planning to come to NAIST.

In opening the event, Robert King, UEA of the Center for International Students and Scholars, gave an overview of our institution, introducing NAIST unique structure as a graduate school without undergraduate facilities, its recent developments to further improve diversity and inclusiveness on campus, and various support for international students. Those who attended were able to ask questions by chat and NAIST staff offered information about procedures, etc. Following this, two question and answer sessions where NAIST international students prepared slides to introduce their own NAIST experience.

With many of the event participants looking for undergraduate programs or Japanese language and culture programs, NAIST's booth was not crowded but we were able to talk freely with the students that attended and also meet with Staff from a partner institution. Our international students' presentations are invaluable in describing the NAIST experience of living on campus in a focused environment and experiencing the wonders of Japan, so we hope to continue these activities and showcasing our talented international community.
