International Collaborative Laboratory for

Supraphotoactive Systems

Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST) - Centre d’Élaboration de Matériaux et d’Etudes Structurales (CEMES) International Collaborative Laboratory for Supraphotoactive Systems aims at developing leading research in the field of light-triggered supramolecular motions. By gathering bright physicists and chemists, we intend to design and to study novel supramolecular systems in solution state, trapped in polymer matrices, as single objects on surfaces or embedded in molecular assemblies onto surfaces.

Established in Oct 2014, the Supraphotoactive systems laboratory raises fundamental questioning about controlling molecules behavior after light excitation, in particular when atomic motion is expected. Born in NAIST, Japan and localized in CEMES institute, France (Centre d'Elaboration de Matériaux et d'Etudes Structurales) it provides adequate and unique environment for conducting thrilling research.
