6. Field(s)

Computational Neuroscience.
Theme 1: Experimental approaches, such as conducting behavioral experiments on humans, conducting brain measurement experiments using fMRI and EEG, and conducting data analysis.
Theme 2: Theoretical approaches, such as building and testing computational models of decision making and learning.
A Specially-appointed Assistant Professor will also be involved in laboratory management and education.

7. Qualifications

Theme 1
  1. PhD degree is required at the date of hiring.
  2. One who is capable of conducting brain measurement experiments using fMRI and EEG and analyze the data.
  3. One who has background in computational neuroscience, machine learning.

Theme 2
  1. PhD degree is required at the date of hiring.
  2. One who has background in reinforcement learning, machine learning.
  3. One who has experience in analyzing behavioral or brain measurement data using computational models such as reinforcement learning or machine learning.
  4. As a Specially-appointed Assistant Professor, one who has practical experience in laboratory management and education of students.

8. Employment conditions

  1. Workdays: Monday through Friday
  2. Holidays: Saturday, Sunday, national holidays, the end/beginning of the year and the anniversary of the founding of NAIST (October 1st)
  3. Working hours are left to the professor's discretion

Annual salary Scheme (determined in accordance with the salary regulations of NAIST)
