As of April 1, 2024, a new laboratory (in the field of AI and data science with a focus on speech and language processing) will be established in the Division of Information Science of the Graduate School of Science and Technology.
Those who plan to apply for the 1st Exam for Spring 2025 admission (and/or 2nd Exam for Fall 2024 admission) and wish to enter the new laboratory should complete the pre-application procedures by April 3, 2024 (Wednesday).
Foreign nationals (except for those holding Permanent Resident or Special Permanent Resident status in Japan) are required to complete the prescribed procedure prior to applying for the NAIST Entrance Examination in order to facilitate support for travel to Japan and enrollment in NAIST.
※This includes NAIST research students as well
Please note that if you do not complete this procedure, your application will not be accepted.
※To Master's course applicants: Before you apply (or reapply) for an entrance examination, you are required to complete this procedure and get a "Notice of Scheduled Laboratory Assignment" for that examination. The "Notice of Scheduled Laboratory Assignment" is valid for only one examination application and cannot be resubmitted.
