to create a useful network for “work-life balance”
On July 5, 2010, with the support of Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST) and Keihanna Science City Promotion Organization, female researchers in Keihanna Science City gathered to establish the “Keihanna Network for Female Researchers” and its sponsor committee.
The Keihanna Network for Female Researchers aims to provide an opportunity for Female researchers (including technicians) dispersed among research institutes and companies in Keihanna Science City to interact with each other for the purpose of information exchange, emotional support, and role modeling, and to create a useful network for “work-life balance”.
Currently, 38 institutions and companies, with 87 participants, are participating in Keihanna Female Researchers Network. (As of February 1, 2024)

Past Activity Reports
The 50th Keihanna Young Researchers Networking Party & The 14th Keihanna Female Researchers Network Tea Party
The Keihanna Young Researchers’ Networking Party was held on February 2, 2024 from 18:30 to 20:00 at “Amanogawa + PLUS”, the exchange room on the 11th floor of Keihanna Plaza. A total of 12 people attended.
Professor Michiko Inoue from Keihanna Female Researchers Network gave a lecture titled “What I gained from the Keihanna network”, followed by group talks among the participants to exchange information on the working environment at their respective workplaces and for future networking.


The 13th Keihanna Female Researchers Network Tea Party
The 13th Tea Party of “Keihanna Female Researchers Network” was held on Friday, October 6, 2023, from 17:30 to 19:00 at “Amanogawa + PLUS”, a social gathering room on the 11th floor of Keihanna Plaza. Fifteen adults and three children gathered.
Participants exchanged information on the working environment at their respective workplaces, efforts to increase the number of female managers, the situation of nursery in offices, and the availability of childcare services during business trips.
Some participants from Keihanna R&D Fair 2023 (held on October 6 (Fri.), 10:00 - 17:00) also attended the event and were able to expand their network.
