- The consultation service for balancing work/study with childcare/nursing care, etc. is available.
- Work life balance Handbooks, posters, and flyers
- We publish handbooks and posters to support work-life balance, and flyers on various support systems for work-life balance.
- Childcare support Plus α childcare systems
- Temporary childcare service (free of charge) for faculty, staff, and students working on the day of University-sponsored events. Childcare support for business trips, financial assistance (subsidies for babysitting fees and annual membership fees through corporate contracts with babysitting companies, and discount coupons issued by the Cabinet Office),etc.
- Subsidizing of the cost of hiring research assistants and outsourcing
- We support discretionary researchers who are pregnant, giving birth, raising children, caring for or nursing family members, or undergoing infertility treatment to improve their research outcomes by subsidizing the costs of hiring research assistants and outsourcing. The subsidy is up to 1.2 million yen per fiscal year, with a maximum of 3.6 million yen per person.
- Female faculty members start-up research grants
- The program provides a grant of 2 million yen over two years to newly hired or promoted female permanent faculty members to help them smoothly start their research.
- Female faculty members Mentor assignment system
- At the request of newly hired female permanent researchers, a faculty member from another laboratory in the same field and with a different affiliation will be assigned as a mentor for one year.
- Keihanna Female Researchers Network
- We provide opportunities for female researchers (including engineers) dispersed among research institutes and companies in Keihanna Science City to interact with each other.
- Supporting female junior and senior high school students in choosing STEM careers
- Seminars and hands-on lectures are held to increase interest in science and engineering among female junior and senior high school students and to promote understanding among teachers, parents, and others regarding career choices in science and engineering.

- A series of interviews with faculty, staff, and students of the University on the topic of gender, diversity, and inclusion will be published serially on the website.
- Distribution of books and DVDs
- The University Library has academic books, introductory books, videos, etc. on gender, diversity, and inclusion.
- Childcare room
- A permanent childcare room has been set up on campus and is available for temporary stays and temporary childcare (registration is required for use).
- Women-only rest space
- There are a total of four women-only rest space in each Division building (available 24 hours a day, with electronic locks issued to those registered to use them) so that female researchers and female students can rest in a space where privacy is maintained.
- Rest space of the University Hall.
- A rest space is available for temporary rest, breastfeeding, milking, diaper changing, etc on the first floor of the University Hall. Anyone, including visitors, can use the room during the opening hours of the Hall.
- Free sanitary products
- Participating in Kao Corporation’s “Laurie in the Workplace” project, sanitary products are equipped in all women’s restrooms and multi-purpose restrooms at the university.
- Baby care and other facilities
- Baby chairs and fitting boards are installed of the A-F buildings, baby chairs, baby seats, and fitting boards on the Interdisciplinary Building, Millennium Hall, and the Library, and fitting boards on the University Hall and Annex Building. Diaper changing stations are located in the men’s and women’s restrooms on the first floor of buildings A-F.
