Diversity and Inclusion” means to form a fair and equitable community by mutually understanding and respect for diversity in terms of race, ethnicity, nationality, gender and gender identity, sexual orientation, age, position, mental and physical health, religion and belief, socio-economic class and family structure. It means aiming to create new values based on the diverse perspectives and ideas of its members.
NAIST will promote diversity and inclusion in order to achieve the goals set forth in Article 1 of the Academic Regulations of Nara Institute of Science and Technology (Academic Regulations No. 1, 2004).
