On February 27th, we received guests from the Institute of Materials Science, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (IMS, VAST). The delegation consisted of Director Nguyen Quang Liem and Vice Director Vu Dinh Lam.

NAIST concluded an exchange agreement with IMS, VAST in 2011 and has already started education and research exchanges. The main purpose of this visit is to deepen our relationship.

At a courtesy visit, President Isogai, Executive Director Murai, Executive Director Shinmyo, Dean Daimon from the Graduate School of Materials Science and Professor Kakiuchi welcomed them. First, both institutes were introduced by Dr. Lam and Dr. Shinmyo. They also discussed the possibility of further exchange.

After that, the delegates visited the facilities and laboratories and gave the lectures at the Graduate School of Materials Science.
In this visit, we had the opportunity to convey our rich education and research environment and we hope our relationship will develop further.
