On Saturday, November 21st, NAIST participated in the Japan study abroad fair "Experience Japan Exhibition (EJE) 2020 Online". This was the 10th year of the event, the largest study abroad fair for Japan held in London, England, and it was held online for the first time. In this fair sponsored by Keio University, 20 universities and organizations nationwide, mainly universities chosen for the Top Global University Project, provided various program and scholarship information for students who were interested in studying in Japan, not only for students in the UK but for students from all over the world who are interested in Japan.
We conducted a webinar briefing about NAIST and held individual interviews, and roughly 40 people who applied in advance from Europe, including the United Kingdom and France, as well as India, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Taiwan participated. Participants asked a wide range of questions about entrance examinations and scholarship opportunities, as well as about the internship program, student dormitories, cafeterias, and other facilities and living conditions. It was a valuable opportunity for us to gain insight into students' willingness and motivation to enter to NAIST and to convey NAIST's features, strengths and details directly to students who are not familiar with us.
