This event aimed to connect female students with female researchers and engineers in Keihanna. 62 people attended this year's event and enjoyed research reports from university/graduate students, reports from engineers and others working in companies in the Keihanna area, and free talks. First, six students from Nara National College of Technology, Nara Women's University Joint Educational Development Organization for Women in Science, Nara Women's University Faculty of Life and Environment, Nara Women's University Graduate School of Humanities and Sciences, Doshisha Rohm Memorial Museum Project, and Doshisha Women's University Faculty of Arts and Sciences presented their research activities. From dioramas of ancient burial mounds to interactive art, from Buddhist architecture to the elucidation of stress mechanisms, the reports covered a wide range of topics and provided much intellectual stimulation. In the second half of the session, five students who are employed by SUNPLASTICS, KANSAI GAKKEN LABORATORY, SOWA Technical Institution, Mizuho Technical Laboratory, and CONNEXX SYSTEMS, respectively, introduced their companies and explained what they do, what they do, their work-life balance, and what they do for a living. Ltd. gave presentations on their company introductions, their work, work-life balance, and a message to students who will be seeking employment. The presentations not only allowed us to learn that there are various companies in the Keihanna area that are engaged in the development and dissemination of technologies that support our daily lives, but also gave us an opportunity to learn about the real situation of women working in companies, including their experiences of gender inequality due to their female status before and after job search, and their current single-parent child care.
