Receiving Start-up Research Funds for Women Researchers

I joined the university as an associate professor in August 2016. In addition to the Start-up Research Grant, I also received the Dean's Grant, which gave me great support from the University in establishing my lab. It was difficult for me to get a grant for scientific research, due to the restrictions of the scientific research grants I had already received. I used the grant to purchase equipment and animals to start new experiments. I am also responsible for the management of the university's animal experimentation facility, and with the support of this grant, I have been able to set up the facility to the point where I can use most of the techniques I have now.
