On Friday, May 31, a debriefing session for the 2023 overseas SD (staff development) training program was held, with 29 attendees who listened to the participants' experiences.

The Overseas Staff Development Training Program was established in 2007 to organizationally promote globalization of graduate school education. Both administrative and technical staff are offered the opportunity to experience overseas universities in order to develop knowledge and expertise in international education activities and improve general planning skills.

This year, a staff member was dispatched to the University of California, Davis (USA) from February 16 to March 15. In this training, participant took a practical English training program as well as interview with staff members in UC Davis based on their own research theme.

At the debriefing session, an example of the home work given in the English class was shared, and also her learnings from the interviews based on her research themes about academic exchange agreements and student support for studying abroad were introduced.

We will continue our efforts to develop human resources who can work globally through practical training.
