The Delegation of SRM Institute of Science and Technology Visited NAIST (July 2nd, 2024)

 On Tuesday, July 2nd, a delegation from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, headed by Registrar, Prof. S. Ponnusamy, visited our university.

 At the courtesy visit, Dr. Kazuhiro Shiozaki (President), Dr. Jun Ota (Vice President for International Affairs), Prof. Kazushi Ikeda, Prof. Yuichi Sakumura, Assistant Prof. Sakura Takeda, Mr. Takashi Imura and Mr. Katsuhiro Azuma welcomed the delegation.

 In the greetings, President Shiozaki expressed his hope for further strengthening relationships and collaboration to nurture the young generation of researchers. Professor Ponnusamy shared the initiatives of SRM Institute of Science and Technology as well as his view and enthusiasm for the agreement with NAIST.

 Following mutual introductions of each university, we had a lively discussion about future exchanges. Associate Professor Navaneethan emphasized the importance of expanding exchanges while deepening existing faculty connections. Subsequently, Professor S. Ponnusamy and President Shiozaki signed an inter-university exchange agreement and a student exchange agreement at a signing ceremony.

 After the courtesy visit, the delegation visited several laboratories in the Division of Information Science, in which they observed research activities and interacted with students.
 This visit will lead to further active exchanges between both institutions in near future.
