On Friday, February 6, a delegation from the Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University Kamphaeng Saen Campus, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somchai Donjadee, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, visited NAIST. During the courtesy visit, the delegation was welcomed by Dr. Ohta Jun (Executive Director/Vice President), Prof. Nakashima Yasuhiko (Division of Information Science) and Prof. Uraoka Yukiharu (Division of Materials Science).

In the opening address, Dr. Ohta expressed his gratitude, reflecting on the long-standing and active exchanges between our university and Kasetsart University. He also referred to his visit to Kasetsart University last year and conveyed his expectations that this visit would further broaden the scope of collaboration between the two universities.

Following this, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somchai Donjadee delivered remarks of appreciation and provided an overview of the Kamphaeng Saen Campus, one of the four campuses of Kasetsart University. He also highlighted the university's extensive global network, initiatives to promote internationalization, the notable achievements of its graduates across various sectors, and the strengths of the campus community, thereby introducing the institution's diverse attractions.

The delegation then toured facilities and laboratories in the fields of Information Science and Materials Science. During the tour, they exchanged views with NAIST faculty members on the potential for various forms of academic and research collaboration.

This visit is anticipated to further promote active exchanges and strengthen collaboration between the two institutions in the near future.
