A total of 18 events were held from April 2022 to November 2023, including a rice planting experience and a powdered green tea experience (2022/6/4).

In addition, based on a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Ikoma City, NAIST students will visit elementary schools to learn cross-cultural understanding, and collaborate in the operation of Japanese language classes hosted by Ikoma City, which will be attended by our international students.

・In FY2023, we started staggered working hours (Asa-katsu/Yu-katsu) for any reason, and as of 2024.1, more than 30 employees have taken this system.
・A questionnaire survey on working styles was conducted from December 2023 to January 2024 for all faculty and staff to serve as a reference for the introduction of flexible working styles such as flextime system, variable working hours, etc.

・English-language signage and pictograms for building guidance and information
・Pictogram signs for restrooms and other facilities on campus will be standardized and installed with reference to pictograms for guidance purposes.

*4 Support of the campus portal site in Japanese and English
From November 2023, the campus portal site, which consolidates information for the university's members, will be migrated to Microsoft365 to enable automatic switching between Japanese and English pages (automatic transition based on the language of the browser specified by the user).

【3】Promote discussions that enhance research capabilities and ensure the diversity of constituents

・In the faculty selection process, we conducted 5 open recruitment for female faculty members (1 in FY2022 and 4 in FY2023), which resulted in the hiring of 1 female faculty member.
・Two female tenure-track associate professors were hired through the female-only tenure-track system.
・As a result of active promotion of young faculty members, two young faculty members were promoted from assistant professor to associate professor in FY2023.

The program aims to establish a cooperative educational program with Nara KOSEN and while the students are enrolled in the KOSEN major course, they will take advantage of the "special student" and "non-degree student" systems of this college to take graduate school courses of this college in advance, while the KOSEN faculty will work together to provide research guidance and aim to complete the master's course in one year in a short period of time. The program is designed to enable students to complete the master's course in one year.

Considering the advantages of the online interview introduced for the Corona Disaster, such as convenience for those living in remote areas such as overseas, it was decided that all entrance examinations will be conducted online from 2024 onward.

In order to promote recommendations with women's universities, an agreement with Doshisha Women's College of Liberal Arts for entrance examinations with recommendations is being considered.

・When disseminating information on various research grants within the university, we provide information in English as well as Japanese.
・For research grants with unique support measures for foreign, female, and young researchers, the existence of such measures is clearly stated in the announcement of the grant information to encourage eligible researchers to actively apply for the grants.
・Supporting to foreign researchers and international students who inquire about applying for grants (e.g., whether it is possible to write the application in English).
