On Friday, March 29th, Dr. Manasanan Hatthasa and 13 other faculty members from Kasetsart University visited NAIST. They were greeted by Dr. Jun Ota, Director for international affairs and Vice President, Dr. Takashi Hashimoto, Division Director of the Division for Educational Development, Institute for Educational Initiatives, and Mr. Robert King, Chief UEA from the Center for International Students and Scholars (CISS).

Initially, Dr. Ota delivered a welcoming address, followed by a presentation about NAIST by Mr. King. Subsequently, Dr. Hashimoto provided an overview of our educational programs, the status of general courses, and the process from student enrollment to graduation, followed by a question-and-answer session on course content.

Later, the delegation moved to the Information Science Complex, where they visited Professor Minoru Okada's Network Systems Laboratory and learned about research topics such as meta-surface reflection plate design. Additionally, they received an explanation of the facilities from Assistant Professor Ryutaro Akiyama in the Zebrafish Breeding Facility in the Biological Science Complex, where they had the opportunity to observe zebrafish embryos under a microscope.

This visit provided an excellent opportunity for our faculty members to deepen collaboration with our academic exchange partner institution.
