Consulate-General of The People's Republic of China in Osaka Delegation Visit to NAIST (April 25, 2024)

  On April 25, 2024, a delegation from the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Osaka, headed by Consul-General Xue Jian, visited NAIST. At the courtesy visit, Dr. Kazuhiro Shiozaki (President), Dr. Jun Ota (Vice President for International Affairs), and Mr. Takashi Imura (Director of Service and Support Department) welcomed the delegation.

 In the greetings, first Consul-General Xue expressed his hope for strengthened relations and more active exchanges between China and Japan in both directions. President Shiozaki then gave an introduction of NAIST. During the introduction, Consul-General Xue expressed his admiration for the generous support provided to international students at NAIST.

 Following this, the delegation visited the Large-Scale Systems Management Laboratory in the Information Science Complex, the Plant Symbiosis Laboratory in the Biological Science Complex, and the Solid-state Information Physics Laboratory in the Materials Science Complex. Chinese students studying at NAIST gave research presentations and participated in a question-and-answer session, during which there was a lively exchange of opinions.

  This visit was a meaningful opportunity for both sides to consider further future collaborations.
