On Wednesday, April 23, a delegation from Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology（CADT）, headed by Dr. Seng Sopheap(President), visited our university.

At the courtesy visit, Dr. Jun OHTA (Vice President for International Affairs), Prof. Taku DEMURA (Dean, Graduate School of Science and Technology), Prof. Shoji KASAHARA (Head, Division of Information Science) and Prof. Minoru OKADA welcomed the delegation.

In the opening address, Dr. OHTA introduced NAIST's initiative with overseas research institutes and shared his outlook to expand research exchanges in Southeast Asia. President Seng Sopheap described his expectations for the development of science talents through collaborations with NAIST, based on the current shortage of researchers in science fields of Cambodia.

Following mutual introductions of each university, we had a lively discussion about future collaboration.

After the courtesy visit, the delegation visited six laboratories in the field of Information Science and discussed the possibility of various exchanges with faculty members of NAIST.

This visit will help further promote active exchanges between the two institutions in the near future.
