On August 1st, the Center for International Students and Scholars (CISS), in collaboration with the Health Care Center, the Educational Affairs Division, and the Diversity & Inclusion Promotion Office, hosted a Summer Festival on Friday, August 1st for students, faculty and staff of NAIST. This event was part of NAIST's efforts under the President's Vision 2030 to build a campus community that co-creates new value.
As the event began, the venue came alive with traditional Japanese festival music and anime songs, creating opportunities for cultural exchange through music. Booth for goldfish scooping, yo-yo catching, and watermelon smashing were set up in the Millennium Hall lounge, while outdoors, the barbecue booth served classic festival foods like yakisoba and grilled corn.
