NAIST is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Pearlyn Yap Li Hui, Deputy General Manager of the International Human Resources Development Division at Mori Kosan Co., Ltd., as an External Advisor (Career Advisor for International Students) effective October 1, 2025.
The official appointment ceremony was held on October 10, 2025, at NAIST.
Ms. Yap, originally from Singapore, is a trilingual professional fluent in English, Japanese, and Chinese. After graduating from the National University of Singapore (Psychology) and completing an exchange program at Kyoto University, she moved to Japan to pursue her career. Since joining Mori Kosan in 2019, she has been engaged in strengthening partnerships with domestic and international academic institutions and supporting international students seeking employment in Japan.
Mori Kosan Co., Ltd. is widely known for operating the multilingual platform WA.SA.Bi, which provides comprehensive support to international students across Japan in multiple languages. NAIST has long collaborated with Mori Kosan in various initiatives, including career seminars and international student guidance programs.
Ms. Yap has already been serving as a career counselor at NAIST since January 2025, offering personalized advice to international students on job-hunting and career development.
Her appointment as External Advisor reflects NAIST's strong commitment to promoting strategic recruitment and development of students from Southeast Asian countries, in line with the goals of the J-PEAKS initiative. Through her experience and network, Ms. Yap will serve as a bridge between universities, industries, and international communities, helping to expand career opportunities for NAIST students
