2021 NAIST Spring Entrance Ceremony (April 5, 2021)

 On Friday, April 5, the 2021 spring entrance ceremony was held in the Millennium Hall.

 NAIST eagerly promotes admission of students both from Japan and overseas who have strong basic academic skills regardless of their undergraduate background as well as researchers, engineers and others currently working actively in society who have clearly defined goals and aspirations for the future as well as a strong interest and enthusiasm for the fields of frontier science and technology. This spring 388 graduate students were granted admission to NAIST.

 This spring, the ceremony was broadcast live on the Internet to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection.

 At the ceremony, President SHIOZAKI Kazuhiro and Dr. KIYOKAWA Kiyoshi, the chairperson of NAIST Alumni Association, gave congratulatory speeches, and the congratulatory messages from Governor ARAI Shogo, the governor of Nara prefecture, Mr. KOMURASAKI Masashi, the mayor of Ikoma City, and Dr. MATSUMOTO Hiroshi, the director of the International Institute for Advanced Studies, were introduced.
